On Thursday 20 June 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove unveiled the Governor-General’s official portrait at Australian Parliament House.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Russian Federation, for a pre-posting call.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Gerard Martin, Assistant Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Ms Jillian Harding, Executive Officer, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Rose Park Primary School, South Australia, and Mt Waverley Heights Primary School, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
