On Wednesday 28 October 2020, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a special meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received members from the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements: Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin AC (Retd), Chair; Ms Anna Harmer, Official Secretary; and Ms Elizabeth Eaton, Policy Officer.
Later, the Governor-General, as Patron of Bravery Trust, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Garth Callender, Chair, Bravery Trust; and Mr Simon Carr, Vice President Corporate Affairs, Leidos, launched the Bravery Trek at the Australian War Memorial.
Then, the Governor-General received Ms Catherine Raper, Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Korea.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received Letters of Credence from the Ambassador-designate for the Republic of Kazakhstan via video conference.
