On Tuesday 20 August 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Dr David Fricker, Director-General, visited and met with staff at the National Archives of Australia.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Dr Marie-Louise Ayres, Director-General, visited and met with staff at the National Library of Australia.

Earlier, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with students from Goondiwindi State High School, Queensland, and Immaculate Heart School, Leichardt, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
