On Wednesday 28 August 2019, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received Ms Julie Heckscher, First Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Division, DFAT.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Princess Royal of Thailand.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for the Council for the Order of Australia.
