On Wednesday 4 September 2019, at Government House, Canberra, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Mr Bernard Philip, Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Sweden, the Republic of Finland and the Republic of Latvia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Nicki Gordon-Smith, Former Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Later, the Governor-General received representatives of the National Servicemen’s Association of Australia (NSAA), including Mr Earle Jennings AM RFD ED, President; Mr Ron Brandy, National Vice President; and Mr Carl Adams, National Treasurer.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted an afternoon tea for R U OK? Day.
