On Wednesday 11 September 2019, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) hosted a breakfast for the Honourable Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of Australia, at Government House, Canberra.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Mr Yohanes Legowo, Ambassador for the Republic of Indonesia, attended a reception for the 74th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the National Gallery of Australia.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Dubbo Christian School, New South Wales, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
