On Thursday 12 August 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) participated in a radio interview with Ms Jo Laverty, ABC Radio Darwin.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from General Angus Campbell AO DSC, Chief of the Defence Force.

Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley met with Mrs Cindy Haddow, Chief Executive Officer, and members and clients of Northern Territory Friendship and Support, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Marg Chamberlain, Principal, and staff and students of Kintore Street School, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Councillor Greg Christensen, Mayor, Scenic Rim Regional Council, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Brendan Christou, Chief Executive, The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland, via video conference.
