On Thursday 26 August 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with representatives of the Institute for Indigenous Urban Health, including Ms Donisha Duff, Chief Operations Officer; Ms Kristie Watego, General Manager – Family Health and Wellbeing, and Dr Carmel Nelson, Clinical Director – Quality and Innovation, via video conference.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Councillor Kim O'Keeffe, Mayor, Greater Shepparton City Council, via video conference.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Greg Hill, General Manager, and Mr Robert (Bob) Stewart, Administrator, Central Darling Shire Council, via video conference.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an all-staff virtual event via video conference.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Dean Widders, NRL Indigenous Pathways Manager, via video conference.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Scott Rankin, Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director, participated in the virtual launch of Big hART's NEO-Learning Platform, via video conference.
Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from the Honourable Shane Stone AC, Chairman, Council of the Order of Australia.
