On Monday 30 August 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Mrs Emily Johnson, Former Junior Legatee, and Mr Mark Beretta, Volunteer, Legacy Australia, to launch Legacy Week 2021, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met Mr Jeremy Lasek, Director, VAX the Illawarra, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Dr Richard Magtengaard, Director and Consultant Psychiatrist, RESOLUTE For Those Who Serve, via video conference.
