On Tuesday 31 August 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Brigadier Mark Holmes AM MVO (Retd), Chairman, Mr Ken Lloyd OAM, Co-Founder, and Mr Ben Johnson, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Integra Service Dogs, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Michael Pengilly, Mayor, Kangaroo Island Council, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Councillor Frank Wilkie, Deputy Mayor, Noosa Shire Council, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Dr Suzette Searle, President of the Wattle Day Association, and members of the ACT Primary Concert Choir in celebration of National Wattle Day, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Her Excellency Ms Sarah de Zoeten, Australian High Commissioner to Vanuatu.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Councillor Peter Petty, Mayor, and Mr Daryl Buckingham, Chief Executive, Tenterfield Shire Council, via video conference.
