On Monday 6 September 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as Patron, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, participated in the virtual launch of National Child Protection Week 2021.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Councillor Robert Khan, Mayor, Wollondilly Shire Council - Central Ward; Owner, Khan Supermarket Group, Western NSW, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Amanda Glasson, Coonamble resident, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Tim and Mrs Lucinda Flynn, Mudgee residents, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Her Excellency Rachael Moore, Australian High Commissioner to Tonga.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Chief Inspector Christine George, NSW Police, and representatives of Mid Coast Emergency Service Agencies, via video conference.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Inspector Kevin Jones, Commander NSW State Emergency Services, and representatives from Hawkesbury Emergency Service Agencies, via video conference.
