On Tuesday 14 September 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with committee members of the Parndana Show, including: Mr Nicholas Tremaine, President; Ms Kate Stanton, Vice President; and Ms Alicia Tremaine, Secretary, via video conference.

Afterwards, Mrs Hurley received a phone call from Ms Paula Fox.

Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from Ms Helen Connealy, General Manager, Sir David Martin Foundation.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Jo Podoliak, Director of Tourism and Economic Development; and Ms Alison Buck, Manager, Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail (National Parks and Wildlife Service), via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mrs Dana Mitchell, Co-Owner, Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, via video conference.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with bushfire-affected residents of Kangaroo Island; Ms Steph Worst, Ms Madelyn Kelly, Ms Tracie Heinrich and Ms Kelly Fogden, via video conference.
