On Tuesday 21 September 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from Lieutenant Colonel Nick de Bont, Commanding Officer, Sydney University Regiment.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley met with students and staff of St Patricks College (Launceston), via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with members of the Hobart Central Men's Shed, via video conference.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mr Alastair Douglas OAM, Chairman, and members of the Order of Australia Association (Tasmanian Branch), via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with members of the Hobart VIEW Club, including: Mrs Yvonne Bottomley, President, Ms Jane Kerin, Publicity Officer, and Ms Meredith Phillips, Secretary, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Mrs Sally Tame, State President, and Mrs Lesley Young AO, State Treasurer, Country Women's Association Tasmania, via video conference.
