On Wednesday 22 September 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Ms Graz Van Egmond, Chief Executive Officer, Banksia Foundation, via video conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Ms Suzanne Toumbourou, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr Peter Tamblyn, President, Australian Council of Recycling, via video conference.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Australian Defence Force Members involved with the recent Afghanistan evacuation, via video conference.

Then, Mrs Hurley recorded a video message in support of Moorambilla Voices' Annual Gala.
