On Monday 14 October 2019, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Senator Amanda Stoker, Senator for Queensland, and Mr Luke Gosling OAM MP, Member for Solomon, attended the 30th Australian National Prayer Breakfast in the Great Hall at Parliament House, Canberra.

Afterwards, at Government House, Mrs Hurley received the Honourable Trevor Evans MP, Assistant Minister for Waste Reduction and Environmental Management, and Mr Simon Duggan, Deputy Secretary, Industry and Jobs, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Later, the Governor-General received Dr Peter McCawley AM, Honorary Associate Professor, Indonesia Project, Australian National University.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted a presentation ceremony for The Boys’ Brigade Australia (Canberra) Queen’s Award Badge.
