On Tuesday 15 October 2019, at Government House, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Her Excellency Mrs Ekaterini Xagorari, the Ambassador of Greece, for a farewell call.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Nick Mitzevich, Director, and Ms Lara Nicholls, Assistant Curator, National Gallery of Australia, and Ms Jennifer Sanders, Chair, The Australiana Fund.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Len Fiori KStJ, CEO, and Mr Cameron Oxley KStJ, Chancellor, St John Ambulance Australia.

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Scott Mitchell, Designer and Maker, Bungendore Wood Works Gallery.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea for Anti-Poverty Week, at which the winners of the Pens Against Poverty competition were announced.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Cheryl O’Donnell, Executive Officer, and Mr Rob Wilson, Board President, visited the Canberra Police Community Youth Club at Wanniassa, Australian Capital Territory.
