On Wednesday 30 November 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Val Dempsey, Australian of the Year and member, St John Ambulance, attended the official launch of Driver First Aid.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a morning tea for Anglicare to celebrate the 2022 Pens Against Poverty competition.
Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from Councillor Peter Hunter, Mayor, Renmark Paringa Council.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Ms Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary Southeast Asia Regional Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received His Excellency Mr Vương Đình Huệ, President of the National Assembly of Viet Nam.
Later, Mrs Hurley hosted an opportunity for children of Government House staff to decorate the Government House Christmas Tree.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Jan Adams AO PSM, Secretary, attended the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade End of Year Reception.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Associate Professor Des Graham, President, attended the 50th anniversary dinner for the Parliamentary Friends of Multiple Sclerosis.
