On Thursday 15 December 2022, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Dr Joseph Agoe, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana.

Later, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam.

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted an end-of-year thank you reception for Friends of Government House.

In the evening, the Governor-General was represented at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl for the State Memorial Service of the late Mr Archie Roach by Colonel Mark Richards HADC.
