On Monday 11 November 2019, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Kerry Stokes AC, Chair, Council of the Australian War Memorial Council, attended the Remembrance Day National Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial where the Governor-General delivered the commemorative address.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Mr Christophe Penot, Ambassador of the French Republic, attended a Remembrance Day ceremony and reception at the Embassy of France in Yarralumla.
