On Thursday 9 February 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received The Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr David Lewis, Assistant Secretary, South-East Asia, Department of Defence, and Mr Stephen Scott, Deputy Head of Mission to Indonesia.

Then, the Governor-General hosted a morning tea for His Excellency Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian Defence Minister, and Her Excellency Retno Marsudi, Indonesian Foreign Minister.

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the Australian Institute of Project Management.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Scott Saddler AM, Executive Branch Manager, National Arboretum Canberra, and Mr Sam Thompson, Assistant Curator, National Bonsai and Penjing Collection.
