On Tuesday 12 November 2019, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Lieutenant General John Frewen DSC AM, Acting Director-General, visited the Australian Signals Directorate’s facility in Russell.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for General Peter van Uhm AO (Retd), Orator, 2019 ACT Blamey Oration.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for members of the Australian Bravery Decorations Council.
