On Friday 12 May 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Rob Webb, Chief Executive Officer, attended the National Memorial Service for Fire and Emergency Services personnel.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with the 2023 Young Emerging Leaders, National Volunteers Association. 

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs  Hurley met with Her Excellency Mrs Vicki Treadell CMG MVO, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom.   

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a barbeque lunch in recognition of the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.  

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Archie Tsirmokos, President, attended the 2023 Lifeline Gala Ball.
