On Monday 15 May 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, received Captain Tara McGuigan, Assistant Public Relations Secretary, NSW and ACT branches, of The Salvation Army.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Linda Hurley, recorded a video message for Pulteney Grammar School.

Then, the Governor-General recorded video messages for World Bee Day and Reconciliation Week.

Later, Mrs Hurley, as Patron, recorded a video message for Scouts ACT.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students from St Aloysius College, Milsons Point, NSW.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for several South Asia Heads of Mission. Guests included His Excellency Mr Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, High Commissioner for Pakistan, and his spouse Dr Sabina Zahid; His Excellency Mr Kailash Raj Pokharel, Ambassador of Nepal, and his spouse Ms Basudha Pokharel; His Excellency Mr Sonam Tobgay, Ambassador of Bhutan; His Excellency Mr Manpreet Vohra; High Commissioner for India, and his spouse Mrs Naseem Vohra; Her Excellency Mrs Chitranganee Wagiswara, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka, and Ms Chamari Rodrigo, Deputy High Commissioner for Sri Lanka; His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador of Afghanistan, and his spouse Mrs Manizha Waissi; and Ms Louise Murray, Assistant Director, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received representatives of Assistance Dogs Australia including: Dr Matthew Miles, Chief Executive Officer, Mr Rowan McDonald, Chair Director, and Ms Sarah Emery, Deputy Chief Executive Officer,.

In the afternoon, Mrs Hurley, as Patron, and the Governor-General hosted a reception for staff, volunteers and supporters of the 2023 Canberra International Music Festival.
