On Tuesday 16 May 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) met with students from St Brigid’s Primary School.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Liz Bobos, Principal, Majura Primary School, read ‘The Speedy Sloth’ to Year 1 students ahead of the National Simultaneous Storytime 2023 and visited the school’s sustainability garden.

Then, the Governor-General met with students from Culburra Public School, Culburra Beach, NSW.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Ms Moo Baulch OAM, Chair, and Ms Patty Kinnersly, Chief Executive Officer; of Our Watch.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students from Penleigh & Essendon Grammar School, Victoria.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception to celebrate the 45^th Anniversary of the Australiana Fund.
