On Tuesday 30 May 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received The Honourable Matt Keogh MP, Minister for Defence Personnel and Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, and Ms Catherine Bergin, Chief of Staff.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded video messages for the King’s Birthday Honours List, Refugee Week, and Ms Jessica Tregellas.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Mr Tom Rogers, Commissioner, and Mr Andrew Johnston, Chief Legal Officer, Australian Electoral Commission.

Then, the Governor-General received Professor Peter Kanowski, National Secretary for Australia, Rhodes Scholarships.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Mr Chris Latham, Artist-in-Residence, Australian War Memorial.

Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, attended a Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial.
