On Friday 9 June 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) met with students from Samuel Gilbert Public School, Castle Hill, New South Wales, as they conducted a tour of Government House.

Then the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of the Canberra Tree Network, launched the exhibition Our Forest in Focus at the Namadgi Visitor Centre.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Ken Lloyd and Dr Alex Lim.
