On Friday 22 November 2019, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Ross Pinney, President, and Ms Judy Slatyer, Chief Executive Officer, of the Australian Red Cross.

Afterward, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a ceremony for the presentation of the Australian Red Cross’ Florence Nightingale Medal.
