On Monday 31 July 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with students from Casuarina Steiner School, Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted senators and senior officeholders of the Australian Senate, where the Governor-General received the Address-in-Reply from the President of the Senate, Senator the Honourable Sue Lines.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley, hosted a reception for the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.
