On Friday 11 August 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria.  

Then, the Governor-General met with students from Court Grammar School, Mundijong, Western Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley participated in the Governor-General’s Design Challenge 2023 at Questacon.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Letters of Credence from His Excellency Mr Askar Kuttykadam, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Marat Kalizhanov, Consul-General, Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
