On Wednesday 20 September 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received members from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, including Professor Glyn Davis AC, Secretary; Mr Gerard Martin PSM, First Assistant Secretary, Ministerial Support; and Mr Andrew Walter, First Assistant Secretary, Government Division. 

Then, the Governor-General received a phone call from Mr Jarrod Wheatley, Chief Executive Officer, Professional Individualised Care.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Dr Peter Conelly from the Australian National University.

Later, the Governor-General, recorded a video message for the 2023 Multicultural Mawlid Concert and the Longreach Scout Group.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, recorded a video message for Dragons Abreast.
