On Tuesday 3 December 2019, His Excellency, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Ms Julie Heckscher, First Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Nguyen Thien Nhan, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Party Committee and Member of the Politburo of the Vietnam Communist Party.

Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a lunch for Mr Bill Oxford, Commander of the American Legion.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a presentation ceremony for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for Rhodes Australia-at-Large candidates.
