On Friday 10 November 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from Mr Jarrod Wheatley, Chief Executive Officer, Professional Individualised Care; and Mr Bernie Shakeshaft, Founder, BackTrack.

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Warrant Officer Jodi Peck, Royal Australian Air Force; Aunty Fay Mosely, Wiradjuri artist; and Uncle William Wallace, Wiradjuri artist.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a morning tea for members of Tribal Warrior Corporation.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Brigadier Chris Appleton CSC (Retd), attended a lunch hosted by The Duntroon Society.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea in recognition of the 140th Anniversary of St John’s Ambulance Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley as guests of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, attended a Last Post Ceremony.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Penny Jurkiewicz, President, attended the Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation’s 40th Anniversary Gala.
