On Thursday 16 November 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a presentation ceremony for Australian recipients of the Florence Nightingale Medal.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, met with representatives of the Australian Red Cross, including Mr Ross Pinney, National President, and Ms Penny Harrison, Interim Chief Executive Officer.

Then, Mrs Hurley received representatives of Genesaret Community Inc., including Dr Peter Burnett, President, and Mr Brendan Price, Community Leader.

Later, Mrs Hurley received a phone call from Ms Cassandra Philpot.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea in celebration of the 25^th anniversary of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.
