On Friday 17 November 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley as guests of Mr Yohan Ramasundara, President, Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise attended the DreamCricket Gala Day.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for the students of the Indigenous Marathon Foundation’s Indigenous Communities for Activity and Nutrition Program.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Mahmoud Zayed, Ambassador of Egypt for a farewell call.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

Later, the Governor-General as guest of Mr Johnny Walker, Director, Service and Experience, made a plasma donation as part of the 2023 Defence Blood Drive. 

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Robert Scott, President, Rowing Australia, attended the 2023 Rower of the Year Awards.
