On Wednesday 22 November 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Mr Ridwaan Jadwat, Head of Mission – designate to the United Arab Emirates.

Then, the Governor-General received Brigadier Mark Smethurst AM DSC (Retd).

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a lunch for members of the ACT Fire and Rescue Community Fire Unit Program.

In the afternoon, Mrs Hurley, as Patron, received members of the Canberra International Music Festival, including Ms Genevieve Jacobs AM, Chair; Ms Rachel Whealy, Executive Director; and Mr Eugene Ughetti, Artistic Director.

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Gwen Cherne, Veteran Family Advocate Commissioner; and Ms Karen Bird.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for members of the IKAHAN Senior Advisory Group.
