On Monday 4 December 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) attended breakfast with the Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Peter Scott, Director, Northern and Central Europe Division,  and Mr Guy Chandler, Assistant Director, Northern and Central Europe, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received His Excellency Dr Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Republic of Croatia.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Mr David Tune AO PSM, Independent Reviewer, Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.  

Afterwards, Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for the St Vincent de Paul Society, New South Wales. 

Then, the Governor-General, as Chief Scout, and Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for the Grafton Scouts. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as Joint Patrons, recorded a video message for Bus Stop Films. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the Australia Day Honours List.  

Then, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program.
