On Thursday 7 December 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General attended breakfast with the Honourable Patrick Gorman MP, Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister. 

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Stephen Found, Owner, Foundation Theatres, and Mrs Rebecca Found. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Jean-Pierre Thebault, Ambassador of France. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received The Honourable Vicki O'Halloran AO CVO, National President, The Order of Australia Association. 

Then, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council. 

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for Ms O'Halloran.
