On Monday 8 April 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), received Ms Sam Mostyn AO. 

Then, the Governor-General received a video call from the Honourable Matt Keough MP, Minster for Veterans’ Affairs and Defence Personnel.   

Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Order of Australia Honours, Conspicuous Service Decorations, and Meritorious Service Awards.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from the Honourable Richard Marles MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence.
