On Thursday 9 May 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council. 

Then, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a morning tea for staff and supporters of Yalari.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Sitesh Bhojani, Trustee, attended the newly constructed Canberra BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir (Temple) and Community Centre.

Then, the Governor-General received a video call from Ms Lidia Hall, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, One Stop, One Call, One Life.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the alumni of the New Colombo Plan.
