On Friday 10 May 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from Professor Glyn Davis AC, Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Then, the Governor-General, accompanied by Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, received Letters of Credence accrediting His Excellency Dr Wilson Kipngetich Kogo as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Kenya. The High Commissioner was accompanied by his spouse Mrs Nancy Jerono Wendot, and representatives of the High Commission of the Republic of Kenya including Ms Betty Chemoiwa, Counsellor, and Ms Daniel Charana, Second Secretary.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded video messages for the ANARE Club, MS Australia, and FORTEM Australia. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received Ms Clare Duffield, Assistant Secretary, Indonesia Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Andrew Martin, Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Chile.
