On Thursday 30 January 2020, at Government House, Canberra, The Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, the Governor-General received the Honourable Arthur Sinodinos AO, Ambassador-designate to the United States of America, for a pre-posting call.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for Rear Admiral Brad Hicks USN (Retd).
