On Tuesday 4 February 2020, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, attended the Ecumenical Service for the commencement of the Australian Parliament for 2020 at the Presbyterian Church of St Andrew.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Belinda Robinson, President, attended the launch of the University of Canberra's International Building Quality Centre.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Warwick Marsh, National Coordinator, Mr Jamie van Heel, Canberra Coordinator and Pastor Peter Walker, Executive Member, from the National Day of Prayer and Fasting Executive Team for a call.

Then, the Governor-General received Dr Graham Durant-Law CSC, Owner, Durant-Law Bagpiping for a call.
