On Tuesday 6 August 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC received His Excellency Mr Kazuhiro (Kazu) Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan, and members of the Cowra Delegation. 

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Toowoomba Grammar School, Toowoomba, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded a video message for National Science Week. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Mr Gordon Ramsay, Chief Executive Officer, Mr Alex Budd, Director, Cultural Facilities Corporation, and Ms Gemma Cavanaugh, Advisor to Minister Tara Cheyne. 

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Yanderyarra Remote Community School, Western Australia, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

In the evening, the Governor-General hosted a graduation ceremony for Fearless Women.
