On Thursday 6 February 2020, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a swearing-in ceremony at which the Governor-General issued Oaths and Affirmations of Office to the newly appointed Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries, including the Honourable David Littleproud MP, Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management; the Honourable Darren Chester MP, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and Minister for Defence Personnel; the Honourable Keith Pitt MP, Minister for Resources, Water and Northern Australia; the Honourable Mark Coulton MP, Minister for Regional Health, Regional Communications and Local Government; the Honourable Andrew Gee MP, Minister for Decentralisation and Regional Education; and the Honourable Michelle Landry MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Families and Social Services and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Resources, Water and Northern Australia.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a ceremony at which the Governor-General issued the Oath and Affirmations of Office and Executive Council to the newly appointed Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Kevin Hogan MP, Executive Councillor, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.
