On Tuesday 19 November 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as Patron and guest of Ms Sonia Di Mezza attends the Migrant and Refugee Settlements Services Multicultural Youth Summit.

Then, the Governor-General received members of the International Federation of Red Cross, including Mr Jagan Chapagain, Secretary-General; Mr Charles Burkitt, President; Ms Annette Ruhotas AM, Deputy President; Mr Andrew Colvin AO APM, Chief Executive Officer; and Ms Beth Delany, First Assistant Secretary, Humanitarian Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Ms Kate Logan, Head of Mission Designate to Canada.

Then, the Governor-General hosted an afternoon tea for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of Ms Jan Adams AO PSM, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, attended the Diplomatic Corps End of Year Function.

In the Evening, the Governor-General and Mr Beckett, as guest of Professor Richard Holden, President, attended the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia Gala Dinner.
