On Thursday 5 December 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, met with students and teachers from Cleve Area School, Cleve, South Australia, as they undertook a school tour of Government House.

Then, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Greg Fraser, Author.

Later, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Ithaca Creek State School, Ashgrove, Queensland, as they undertook a school tour of Government House.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Mr Ravi Krishnamurthy, President, and volunteers of Australian Multicultural Action Network.

Then, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Amir Maimon, Ambassador of Israel.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Nick Hunter OAM, President, Australian National University Boat Club.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Robyn Henry, Chair, attended the 2024 Volunteering ACT Awards.
