On Tuesday 4 March 2025, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as Patron, and Mr Simeon Beckett SC, hosted a GO Foundation Culture Connect Day at Government House.  

Throughout the day, the Governor-General also met with students and teachers from Shore Prep School, North Sydney, and Ambrose Treacy College, Indooroopilly, as they undertook school tours of Government House. 

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Roger Buckley, Board President and Ms Verity Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer, from Cancer Council ACT. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Stephen Gniel, Chief Executive Officer and Ms Alexis Steffen, Board Secretary, from the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Vice Admiral Mark Hammond AO RAN, Chief of Navy, attended the Navy Week Official Reception and Ceremonial Sunset at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
