On Thursday 26 February 2020, in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Richard Smith AO PSM, President, Lord's Taverners ACT, attended a breakfast for the 2020 Women's T20 World Cup at the National Press Club.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Dr David Dutton, Deputy Head of Mission-designate for Brussels, for a call.

Later, the Governor-General received the EU Parliamentary Delegation for Relations with Australia and New Zealand.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Greg Boorer, Vice President, Commonwealth Club, attended the Sporting Heads of Mission Golf Day at the Royal Canberra Golf Club.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mrs Kathleen Harvey, Vice-President, Royal National Capital Agricultural Society, attended the President's reception and officially opened the 2020 Royal Canberra Show.

Afterwards, as guests of Mr John Harnden AM, Chair, T20 World Cup, and Mr Nick Hockley, Chief Executive Officer, T20 World Cup, attended the Second Innings of the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup match between Australia and Bangladesh at Manuka Oval.
