On Thursday 5 March 2020, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley as guests of Ms Debra Eckersley, President, UN Women Australia, attended an International Women’s Day Lunch.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received representatives of SoldierOn – including Mr Ivan Slavich, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms Jane Farrell, National Marketing and Communications Manager – for a call.

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Jonathan Philp, HOM-Designate, Papua New Guinea, for a call.
