Canberra, Australian Capital Territory; Bellingen, New South Wales

On Saturday 7 March 2020, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Bellingen, New South Wales where they were met by Cr Denise Knight, Mayor, Coffs Harbour City Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Cr Jennie Fenton, Deputy Mayor, Bellingen Shire Council, attended a lunch to recognise local service agencies involved in bushfire response and recovery and celebrate the 150th Birthday of the Bellingen Public School.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Captain Graeme Stockton, visited the Hydes Creek Rural Fire Brigade.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Debbie Locke, Coordinator, attended the 2020 Sergeant Matthew Locke MG Charity Match.
